Nigel is an architect and urban designer, graduating in 2020 from the University of Malta with a BSc honours in Built Environment Studies, and went on to do a Masters Degree in Architecture and Urban Design in 2020, with the dissertation titled ‘Analysing the Effects of Urban Design Quality on Residential Property Value in Malta - The Case of Naxxar’, and subsequently a thesis project ‘Hal Far, an Urban City for the Future’ which received a special commendation at the Malta Architecture & Spatial Planning Award, held in April 2023.

Driven by his interest in both architecture and business, Nigel furthered his studies by pursuing a Masters degree in Strategic Design at Politecnico di Milano, working on a thesis project titled ‘A smart architecture planning consultancy, powered by technology’ aiming at leveraging on data and artificial intelligence to provide optimal development and architectural solutions. This endeavour aimed to provide him with a holistic perspective, allowing him to add value to urban contexts while bridging the gap between design and commerce.

Over the years, Nigel has acquired valuable skills through various experiences within the field of architecture. He has worked on a diverse portfolio of projects, with a particular emphasis on urban and residential developments. His responsibilities have ranged from conceptualisation , planning policy, to construction oversight. Concurrently, Nigel engaged in further learning opportunities such as a Property Valuation Techniques and Methodology focus course in 2020, as well as participation in the 2023 Business Design Seminar, jointly organised by the Antwerp Management School and Poli.Design.

In 2020 Nigel joined the office of Jesmond Mugliett Periti as an intern, where he now practices as an architect within the firm.
